Press Release: July 30, 2007
a half-hour television program
produced by Big Three Productions and Santa Monica Pictures
Logline: An opinionated and cinematic local automotive review and news show specially created for the Ohio and Columbus markets.
Mission of the Show:
- To create an informative and opinionated automotive review show that caters to the local and state public.
- To inform Ohioans of the best new and used vehicles available.
- To educate people on the importance and history of the auto industry in Ohio.
- To show the Impact of the auto industry on Ohio.
- It’s “Autoweek” meets the History channel with a personal and localized feel.
Segments of the Show: (7 minutes each)
- The “New Vehicle Review” segment is where we review the most significant vehicles that have launched in the year. Example: The all-new crossover vehicle Ford Edge, “one of the most significant vehicles in Ford’s illustrious history,” Motor Trend Magazine. We discuss and show the most important details of the new vehicle. Including the Styling, Fuel Economy, Value/Price, Options, Roominess, Safety, Performance, Reliability and Resale Value. We then rate the vehicle on an A through F system, by combining the weighted grades from the sections above.
- The “Impact Ohio” segment is the most exciting and creative segment of the show. This is where we find the most interesting and significant stories going on in the industry. From the impact of a General Motors factory closing in Dayton to the community impact each car company makes in Ohio. We will have personalized stories on factory workers, local dealerships, supplier companies and cities that have impacted the state.
- The “Used Car Review” segment is where we review the most popular used vehicles sold in Ohio (examples the Ford Taurus and Honda Accord). The used car market sells over 85 million vehicles a year in the United States. We will rate the most important attributes to every used car from the Price, Reliability, Comfort, Cost of Ownership and Availability in the local market.
- Other possible segments include spotlights and tips on finding the most reliable Auto Mechanics and Shops in the city. Also a segment on the popular aftermarket accessories scene for vehicles.
Production on “All-Ohio Car Review” will start Summer 2007
